"Every negative emotion we feel can be converted into something positive to help us get further in life." John C Maxwell.
The first step to curing any il lness is to recognize it exists through diagnostic tests. Whenever the ill condition is faced squarely, the source of desired recovery can be sure, especially if the factor of good mental health is experienced. Whenever you are convinced that the mind controls your actions, more attention will be given to the positive in-put that you make.
Often your heart churns because of anxiety and stress, due to the negative mental tolerance that you accept. Most things are created twice there is first the thought and mental image before a tangible object is created, or an action is done. All that you have to do in order to do right, is to learn to think right. If you can improve your thinking, your actions will undoubtedly be improved.
The devastating issue of crime, violence, and sex perversion are the results of mental processes. As day follows night, so is the fact that wrong thinking leads to wrong actions. It follows without contradiction that positive and healthy thinking result in good relationship, kind action, good mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wholeness.
The eyes are the windows of the soul. When one passes by magazine racks, it is amazing to see the deplorable and junk literature that people subscribe to, and feel that it is alright. Some movies and television programs vividly contradict wholesome thinking. When the mind is filled with garbage, it will lead to wrong thinking which makes wrong actions inevitable. An unknown author writes: "Many fill their stomachs with steaks that money can buy, and their minds with garbage." The body would die of malnutrition if it was fed with the same kind of inappropriate and unwholesome material that men and women feed their minds on. It is no wonder that the world is in such a state of persistently ill conduct. If people are not thinking right, they cannot possibly act right.
The world is filled with evil in almost every station of life. Therefore, not only children and youth, but adults must put on blindfolds so that they will not be distracted by what is negative around them. Each one must be clear in the path that leads to his life's goals and spiritual values. Life is a race for excellence or defeat. If you become distracted by the voices that call for your attention, you will lose your focus and have detours in the journey to your goals. When you get connected with the right influences, and stay in the company of those who are ambitious, you will get to the stars if the sky becomes unreachable.
If you fill your mind with what is pure, kind, lovely and remain fixed on your positive expectations, your life will be peaceful, serene, productive and filled with the ingredients of your self-image and perpetual success. Enthusiasm is a vital component of a mentally healthy life-style. Let it be a driving force as the challenges of life threaten the inspiration of life, and act positively.
To give up enthusiasm is to chose to die. Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old by deserting their ideals instead of being optimistic. Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm, wrinkles the soul. To lose enthusiasm is to bankrupt your thinking. Your mental state should be one of excitement and determination to think and act right. It is enthusiasm that will be the driving force that will make you stick to your dream as magnet pulls and clenches an object.
We have more reason to think and act enthusiastically, than to have remorse and become faint because of life's brown pages of disappointment and sorrow. You can keep your mental powers positive and potent while others are losing theirs. Your acceptance of road blocks and curves in your path, should help to keep you calm and unemotional. Don't put limits on yourself for the mind is the measure of the man. A peaceful mental health is available, but you must make a conscious effort to possess and maintain it.
Feelings of sadness, hopelessness and loneliness are choices that you can make in an effort to gain the attention and the sympathy of others. Such choice only lead to frustration and mental decay. The ulcers of unrest and turmoil cannot be healed by a quick-fix approach. You must cultivate and nurture a positive approach to life. In order to cure the deep damages of your emotions, you must apply the prescriptions that promote healthy mental and emotional attitudes. Put away sickly thoughts and sow encouragement, self-appreciation and optimism in your spirit. Celebrate the jewel of your character, then give fragrance to the world.
