Eight year-old Queen's College student Chelsea Tynes ensured that her mother, Tonya Tynes and grandmother Mary McCartney had a marvelous Mother's Day. She made them breakfast in bed — all by herself.

The youngster decided to make Chef Jasmine Clarke-Young's Cookies 'n' Cream recipe printed in the Wednesday, May 7 edition to show them just how much she appreciated them, and give them a sweet start to their day. She ended up making the recipe twice. Chelsea tried it out on her seven-year-old brother Christopher and his friend Dylan on the Saturday prior to Mother's Day. Christopher told his big "sis" that it was "off the chain", and worthy of being served to their mother and grandmother, who got a sweet Mother's Day surprise as Miss Chelsea served them breakfast fit for the queens they are.

Chelsea ensured that photos were taken as she went through the recipe step-by-step, and she sent it into The Nassau Guardian.
