Ladies and gentlemen — it's time to tune up your voice boxes, so down those lozenges, gargle with honey ... do whatever you need to be pitch perfect to participate in the HardRock Café's Ambassador of Rock Karaoke Competition.

The grand prize winner receives two VIP tickets to a concert to see Eric Clapton, K.T. Tunstall, The Police and Sheryl Crow in concert in London's Hyde Park on June 28-29, along with airfare and hotel, and $300 spending money, according to Brynn Felix, general manager of HardRock.

The contest is open to Bahamians — amateurs or professionals. You show up at Hard Rock Cafe on the night you intend to perform, or register online at nassau_gm@hardrock.bs. he said.

The competition is open to anybody as long as they are local whether they are amateurs or professionals, and it's free.

Every Tuesday, for the next three weeks, two winners will be chosen to go on to the finals, which will be held on Tuesday, May 20, where they will battle it out for the title of champion.

Judging will be done by the partners for the Ambassador of Rock Competition — Hardrock Cafe, Sail Nassau and British Airways.

The Ambassador of Rock Competition is put on yearly by HardRock International to promote bands on a global level and to promote the spirit of rock and roll around the globe.

Each Hardrock Café worldwide devises their own competition.
