If you attended the first rendering of Stepping on the Shores, and was impressed, then prepare to be swept away on a tide of dancing madness when KO productions brings Stepping on the Shores 2.

This year organizers plan to bring two of the top dance groups who competed on the hit reality show America's Top Dance Crew.

They have decided to leave the groups identities secret until the day of the event, but the groups that wowed fans included JabbaWockeeZ, Status Quo, Kaba Modern, BreakSk8, Fysh n Chicks, Live In Color, Iconic, Femme 5, Enigma Dance Kru, Automatic Response, The Movement and Full Out.

This is expected to be an even bigger draw than last year's show, which people turned out in droves to see the top step groups who had appeared in the movie, "Stomp The Yard".

The show will be held again at Arawak Cay Beach. The pre-party will take place on Friday, May 9, at Pure Nightlife, when the Greek organizations will have a "stroll off" — a dance competition to music for a cash prize. The main event will take place on Saturday, May 9.

The organizers are also offering Facebook members the chance to win free tickets online. "The first person that can guess which two groups we're bringing in, will get a free ticket to see them perform live, according to Kenny Mackey, one of the organizers.

"If you are replying, post your guesses on the online event bulletin board," he said. Winners will be sworn to secrecy.

The step show will conclude on Sunday, May 11 with a Wet Fete at Nirvana Beach, West Bay St.."Come prepared to get wet and bring your super soakers," said Mackey. "Once you come to any of the two events on Friday or Saturday the Wet Fete is free." Otherwise the cost for entry into the Wet Fete is $10. People who bring their super soakers can get in for half price.

Set to amp up the excitement at the show, will be a slew of local performers, including Bodine "Be" Johnson and Sammy Starr.

Part proceeds from the show will go to the Cancer Society of the Bahamas. The group donated money from last year's show to the AIDS Foundation.
