Wedding dreams come to life

By KARAN MINNIS, Guardian Lifestyles Reporter, karan@nasguard.com

From as far back as they can remember most females have dreamt of their wedding day — a day filled with images of a Cinderella gown and walking towards "Prince Charming." In their minds it's always perfect, in many instances there are glitches on the day.

But there are people out there who do their best to ensure that your day runs as smoothly as possible. If you want to ensure that, the best place to get prepared and seek advice is at the first SuperClubs Breezes Bahamas Bridal Extravaganza.

Entitled "Weddings of A Lifetime: Champagne Wishes & Candlelight Dreams", this event will be held at the hotel on Cable Beach on Sunday Apr. 27 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Derek Smith, the hotel's food and beverage manager says that anyone planning a wedding should attend.

"Our bridal show will feature everything you'll need to plan your wedding, as well as showcase other products and services that you will need after the wedding for honeymoon and family."

"It takes a lot to pull off any event, and sometimes even Breezes has to get outside help. So we have to work with the florists, the printing companies ... the musicians and the list can just go on. But because of those experiences, we want to use this opportunity to create a personal one-on-one environment where the public can actually meet with the vendors and with our company to find out what is being offered to them."

Registered guests will also be entered to win at least one of over 10 prizes valued at $20,000. Prizes include a seven-night, six-day all inclusive stay at Breezes Runaway Bay, Jamaica inclusive of two round-trip tickets to Jamaica; a complimentary bridal shower for 50, a weekend stay for two at SuperClubs Breezes Bahamas and a complimentary wedding reception at Breezes Bahamas for 100. Also, a complimentary wedding reception decor at Breezes Bahamas for 100 people, inclusive of floral centerpieces, white chair covers with sashes and draping, and head table floral decor.

Tickets for this event is $20, and can be purchased from SuperClubs Breezes Bahamas and Kelly's.
