One lucky couple will win an all-expenses paid wedding of a lifetime courtesy of Bahamas @ Sunrise show and the British Colonial Hilton Hotel.
The morning television show kicked off the "Dream Wedding" promotion on Monday, May 25, promising a Bahamian television experience that will culminate with a live televised wedding in August.
The exciting event will also be fully interactive, with the Bahamian public called on to vote on various aspects of the wedding including the lucky couple that will win the fabulous prize, the wedding rings, which will be provided by Jewels By The Sea; the wedding dress, which will be designed by Apryl Jasmine Designs. The lucky bride will also have her make-up applied by Renee Brown and her hair styled by Gigi Turnquest. The bride will also have her make-up done by the talented Renee Brown, and her hair will be styled by Gigi Turnquest. Her bridesmaids will don gowns by Vows.
The groom and his groomsmen will be outfitted by Moderne Men. A Vivienne Lockhart signature wedding cake will be the order of the day, with Template designing the wedding invitations, and Bahama Fantasies in charge of the theme and décor.
Each of the partners will provide three options in their respective categories. Viewers can vote for their favorites, and the most popular items will be used in the wedding, giving the television audience the final say on every aspect of the couple's big day.
Sharell Ferguson of the Bahamas at Sunrise Dream Wedding committee, and Latoya Hanna-Moxey, sales manager at the British Colonial Hilton, joined Bahamas @ Sunrise co-host Tisca Pratt-Armbrister to make the announcement.
"We are very excited to part take in this opportunity with Bahamas at Sunrise. We are one of the major sponsors of the event and we will be providing the reception location as well as the ceremony location," said Hanna-Moxey
"We at the British Colonial Hilton will be creating that 'wow' experience for the lucky couple on the actual wedding day. We will be providing the sleeping rooms, the food, the drinks. It will be a great day for that lucky couple."
The engaged couple must be citizens or permanent residents of The Bahamas. Application forms are available at The Counsellors Ltd. on First Terrace, Collins Avenue, Centreville, or at the British Colonial Hilton on West Bay Street. The application forms can also be downloaded from the Bahamas @ Sunrise website www.bahamasatsunrise.com at the Bahamas at Sunrise Dream Wedding icon. Applicants must drop off the completed form along with the required documents at The Counsellors.
Three finalists will be selected and presented for the public. The viewing audience will then have a week to cast their votes online at www.bahamasatsunrise.com, where they can also read the couples profiles and view their photos.
The deadline to submit all applications is Wednesday, June 10. Voting will begin on Monday, June 22.
