    'Everything comes around'

By STAFF WRITER ~ Nassau Guardian:

Bahamian attorney, banker and writer Shawn Forbes is adding yet another notch to his belt of literary achievement.

Four years after the publication of his debut novel, "When Worlds Collide" and two years after the launch of "Everything Comes Around," Forbes was invited by the proprietors of Outwrite Books in mid-town Atlanta, to read from and sign copies of "Everything Comes Around" which has become one of the fastest selling publications in Outwrite's inventory.

Forbes describes "Everything Comes Around" as a "fast-paced, page-turning thrill of a ride that has it all — sex, subterfuge and nail-biting suspense which, at the same time, explores some of the most pressing social issues of our time.

Set principally in Atlanta and Los Angeles, with a Bahamian twist, the work of fiction follows the intertwining and often chaotic lives of Geoffrey Parks, a professional basketball player and superstar; Caroline Hicks, a hungry journalist with skeletons in her closet and Jason Dash, a charismatic Atlanta attorney with secrets of his own.

The novel also spent a number of weeks at the top of the book store's best seller list, and Forbes has expressed pride in this achievement which, he hopes, will assist him in marketing his novels to a wider audience.

Forbes is a 1983 graduate of St. Anne's High School in Nassau, and a member of The Bahamas Bar. Currently, he is a senior vice-president of the Nassau subsidiary of a Geneva-based private bank, with responsibility for the bank's legal department.

He is currently at work on his next two novels, tentatively titled "The Invisible Lover" and "The Man They Loved".

Forbes' books are available for purchase through his publisher's website at www.trafford.com, or through a number of internet booksellers including www.amazon.com and www.bn.com (the Barnes and Noble website).
