    Fighting breast cancer

By STAFF WRITER ~ Nassau Guardian ~

On the heels of the resoundingly successful "the little pink party" honor your heroine fashion and beauty event, KhanAali Media Group (KMG) and Bahamas Surgical First Assistant Ltd. (BSFA) paid a visit to The Cancer Society of the Bahamas to share the "little pink magic" from their recent event.

Krista and Kandice Hanna, co-founders of KMG, and Dr. Tyneil Cargill, president of BSFA, presented Mr. Earl Bethel, president of The Cancer Society of the Bahamas) with a check for $900 and 30 'honor your heroine' gift bags on behalf of the little pink party, KMG, and BSFA.

"This all came naturally . . . equating shopping with breast cancer awareness. The color pink should mean more than fashion and feminine fun. It should mean hope and collective triumph. The little pink party will continue to be a vehicle for breast cancer awareness and support among women in The Bahamas through every conscious act of fashionable giving," said Kandice.

The funds for the contribution were proceeds from the little swag bag and event raffle ticket sales.

The little pink party honor your heroine event was a four-hour fashion and beauty event presented by KMG for fabulous heroines by fabulous heroines. KMG transformed the seaside terrace of Green Parrot Bar & Grill, East Bay into a sensational retail environment fit for any beauty maven, fashionista, or shopaholic featuring the crème de la crème of all things women and things they love.

Some 200-plus ladies escaped the monotonous and found themselves luxuriating inside the pages of their favorite lifestyle magazine as they shopped, sipped, sampled, snapped, scored, and "squeezed the juice" out of the style emporium.

The women, entered into an open-air shopping mall with boutique-styled cabanas with product from the leading fashion houses, jewelers, cosmetic brands, beauty and wellness spas, liquor brands, and lifestyle designers at their fingertips.

The honor your heroine event set out to celebrate the lives and times of women in our community. The little pink party event featured a host of opportunities to honor the heroines who inspire the lives of our attendees. Part proceeds from the event's raffle and the event's swag bag purchases aid the fight against breast cancer. Honor your heroine gift bags filled with products, samples, services, and coupons were given to The Cancer Society to be distributed to women currently battling breast cancer and women who have survived the fight against breast cancer.

    About The Event:

The little pink party is a celebration of everything feminine. The farmer's market of "fabulosity" lended itself to the preview and sale of designer items at discounted prices, service demonstrations and product sampling along with fun interactive fitness demonstrations, a hosted bar, lots of valuable prizes, and a pro-social cause.

Apart from their fashionable, fun fair, their mission is to support fabulous heroines who are currently battling or are survivors of breast cancer. Proceeds and gifts from the honor your heroine event feature benefits The Cancer Society of the Bahamas and the fight against Breast Cancer.
