B-Humane party tonight

By STAFF WRITER ~ Nassau Guardian:

There's a very different kind of party on tonight. It's one that's encouraging you to "B-Humane."

Proceeds from the "B-Humane" campaign party which will be held tonight is earmarked for the Bahamas Humane Society to assist with the rescue and treatment of animals who are treated inhumanely, neglected, hurt and forgotten every year.

Fort Charlotte will be lit by torches and fairy lights "walk" the drawbridge and help event attendees celebrate the launch of the B-Humane campaign, sponsored by Swiss bank, Lombard Odier.

Tickets include two drinks, but there will also be cocktail foods and a carvary.

Art and jewelry will also be on display with lots of music, including a silent auction designed to suit everybody's budget.

The new "B-Humane" banners that will grace the streets of Nassau, will be on display with many of the young Bahamian artists, musicians, movie makers, models who are on the banners present.

Event organizers say this event will be a wonderful chance for the general public to see people do their part to support animal rights and try to make a difference.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Kim Aranha at 362-4727 or 357-4318. Tickets can be delivered.

Organizers say before you decide not to help, you are encouraged to take a second, look down at your pet and realize how lucky he/she is and then think of those animals that are neglected and beaten. They say nothing makes you sleep like knowing that you have done the right thing.
