Colina General Insurance opens branch in Oakes Field By STAFF WRITER , For the Guardian
In order to better serve its growing customer base, and in line with its strategy to expand its overall accessibility, Colina General Insurance Agency (CGIA) today announced the opening of a new full service branch at Oakes Field, its second in New Providence. Located in the heart of the city in The Nassau Guardian Building, at the junction of Carter Street and Thompson Boulevard, the new branch, like its Rosetta Street flagship office, will offer complete property-casualty insurance and related services, including automobile, marine and home coverage, and business insurance. According to President Lynden Nairn, "the continued growth of our policyholder base necessitated this expansion. The new branch is part of Colina General's strategy to invest in infrastructure in order to better serve our existing client base, and to capitalize on the growth potential of this market." General Manager Howard Knowles added, "Business and residential communities are spreading across the island, but, for the most part, insurance companies are still clustered in Palmdale. We believe that a new branch in another accessible and vibrant business district will enable us to provide quality service to our clients in a convenient location." The branch has a favorable proximity to the main government traffic licensing department, ideally located to service motorists looking to license their vehicles within the time constraints of a lunch hour or a day dedicated to other errands. Moreover, CGIA is one of few general insurance agencies geographically positioned to cater to the needs of clients in Western New Providence. About Colina General: Colina General Insurance Agency Limited (CGIA) is a Bahamian incorporated company and a leading provider of property-casualty insurance and related services, including automobile, marine and home coverage, and business indemnity.
